Thanksgiving Mobile Pantry Coming to BGSU Firelands: Free Food Assistance for Huron Families

We’re proud to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank to make sure no student or family in our community goes without support. Huron families preparing for Thanksgiving will have access to free food assistance when Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio brings its Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry to BGSU Firelands on Monday, November 10. The flyer below lists mobile food pantries and pickup sites available to Huron families, offering healthy, accessible food options close to home.

How It Works
The drive-thru format allows families to remain in their vehicles while Second Harvest volunteers load food directly into their cars. This convenient, dignified process ensures quick service while respecting participants' time and privacy.
No Income Requirements
Second Harvest's mobile pantry is open to all community members, regardless of income level. There are no qualification requirements, and no one will be asked to prove financial need. The program exists solely to support families and reduce food insecurity in our region.
Registration Required
Due to limited capacity, registration is mandatory for this event. Families can register in three ways:
- Online: Visit Freshtrak and complete the registration form
- Phone: Call (440) 434-2447 to register over the phone
- QR Code: Scan the QR code on this flyer
Registration opens on October 22nd. Families are encouraged to register early, as spots fill quickly for Thanksgiving distributions. Help us spread the word about these valuable community resources.
